+LIVING YOUR CALLING

The church father St. Augustine wrote “How can you draw close to God when you are far from your own self?” He prayed, “Grant, Lord that I may know myself that I may know thee,” and these words have remained a popular prayer in the church ever since. It is possible to live your whole life without knowing who you are and what God has called you to. It is even more possible that you know what we are supposed to do, and not do it because we allow the expectations of other people’s plans for our life to be louder than the voice of God. This class is all about learning more about yourself, so that you can connect to God and His plan for your life in deeper ways. By identifying your primary and secondary calling, uncovering your unique personality, God-given spiritual gifts, discovering passions and abilities, and identifying your life mission statement, you will gain a robust framework for who God has created you to be, so that you can boldly live out that calling no matter what season of life you find yourself in.

+CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD

Whether you find prayer intimidating or unappealing or you find prayer enjoyable and engaging, God longs to converse with you. This class will equip you to go deep in prayer, experiencing God in tangible ways, but will also teach you how to go wide in prayer, learning twelve different types of prayer that you can engage with: prayers that move us inward, understanding transformation that needs to take place internally, prayers that move us upward towards closeness with our Creator and prayers that move us outward to minister to others. Through teaching, Bible study, and practice your confidence in prayer and ability to hear God’s voice will be enriched.
