Countryside Elementary School
In fall 2006 Indian Creek began an exciting partnership with Countryside Elementary School. From 1996 to 2006, Countryside has more than doubled the number of students living in poverty. Their needs are great. In talking about the value of the partnership, Principal Stacy Shipley said, “It provides an opportunity [for people] to make a difference in children’s lives. When Indian Creek serves others, it models to kids what serving others looks like.” Adults who volunteer receive training and routine screening though the Youth Friends Organization.
