Live Out

A Way To Get Involved!

Indian Creek partners with many ministries throughout the world to live out the love of Jesus Christ. Some partnerships are long-term, some are just forming. Indian Creek has partnered for several years with The India Gospel League (IGL) The purpose of IGL is to bring the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ to unreached peoples and through effective discipleship to extend God’s reign over the nations. A new partnership is developing in Africa.

AFRICA
Africa is a country of great need with many social justice issues. A team of men from Indian Creek traveled to South Africa in 2006 to meet with local ministries. In early 2007 another group travelled to Africa to furthur define the partnership that began the year before. The Lubabalo project is a coalitiion of 3 US churches (Indian Creek, Westside Family and Shoal Creek) and the Oceans of Mercy orphanage in South Africa. Lubabalo is a Xhosa word which means "grace". The project has been given about 20 acres of land to develop into a small village meeting many needs of the people in this area of the Transkei. The October 2007 trip centers around establishing a relationship with the people, identifiying leaders and education in the areas of gardening, AIDS/HIV, and spiritual development.

INDIA
Indian Creek has had a long-standing partnership with the India Gospel League. One of IGL's key ministries is its women's ministry: Women with a Mission. The vision of Women with a Mission is to raise and train women for leadership in the local churches. They have a vision to raise up 60,000 women community leaders by the year 2010. These leaders will then go back to their communities and help other women find their way to the one and only true God. The theme for IGL in 2007 was Love Him and Live. Two teams of women travelled to India in 2007 speaking at regional and national conferences.
