Journey Student Ministry

We like teenagers and see loads of potential in them! Journey is made up of students and adults who care about pursuing an authentic relationship with God. There is no one in a teenager's life that is more influential than Mom and Dad! Our role is not to take away the role parents have in the spiritual formation of their children, but to be additional voices in students' lives as they grow in their faith.

We care about seeing teenagers successfully navigate through their adolescent years and develop a faith in Jesus Christ that will grow with them well beyond their years in our ministry. We create age-specific environments for Christian faith to be explored and practiced among peers. Our worship and spiritual growth path give opportunities for students to discover how God created them and begin to serve others with their unique talents and abilities.

Our team wants to see students make decisions to follow Christ and begin to love the world around them in the way that God loves them! Because of this we provide many opportunities throughout the year for students to use their unique talents and abilities. From onsite serving opportunities to international trips, there is a place for teens to live out the love of Jesus!

- Leading in kidzAlive classrooms

- Middle School Mission Camp

– Week-long VBS for kids from the community in the morning, service projects throughout the city in the afternoon

- Trips to teach English in Mexico and China

Time and Location

Journey meets Wednesday nights at Ben and Sarah Stears' home at 6:30 p.m.
