Join the journey, Gary Kendall Lead Pastor Join My Blog Biography Gary Kendall is the founding pastor of Indian Creek Community Church in Olathe, Kansas. Gary, his wife Belinda, and a group of 27 adults from the First Church of God in Kansas City planted a new church in September of 1985. Indian Creek grew steadily adding new ministries such as Little Treasures Childcare Center, LifeLine Counseling Center, Share the Blessing, and Trinity Health Clinic. The church completed its first facility in May of 1997 after renting schools and office facilities for 12 years. Phase 2, the Adam Ettinger Christian Education Center, was completed in 2000. The church serves over 1,300 people on a typical weekend and over 2,500 people call Indian Creek their home church. Construction is underway for a 107,000 square foot expansion that includes a sanctuary, administrative offices, classrooms, and dedicated space for student ministries. In the last 20 years Indian Creek Community Church planted two churches and assisted three other new church plants. Pastor Kendall is the son of Paul and Ruthie Kendall, former home missionaries for the Church of God in Anchorage, Alaska. Gary and his wife Belinda reside in Olathe, Kansas. Their sons Jeremy and Luke attend Mid-America Christian University. Their daughter, Kristen, a graduate of Taylor University, is married and living in Ohio with her husband Josh. Luke is also married and resides with his wife, Leah, in Oklahoma. Gary frequently travels as a speaker/conference leader. He ministers nationally and internationally in countries such as India, China, Russia, Africa, and Mexico. Gary and Indian Creek’s Executive Pastor, Jim Davey, coauthored the book Path to Power, a Christian growth and discipleship study. In 2004 Gary partnered with Robin Wood to form a ministry called the Church Multiplication Association with the goal of planting churches. They are presently working with 38 churches across the country. |
