Love People
If we are going to take the journey in becoming 3L Christ followers, we must be willing to discover how to love others. Christ reminds us to love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:31 NLT) We were not created to go it alone. God made us with this inner need for others. So, how does that work? After all, relationships can be messy.
Our goal is to help you discover relationships and groups that fit you and provide connection, support, and encouragement. Through relationships we discover community, people who can help us through life’s ups and downs. Groups have various focuses, like prayer, accountability, and Bible study. A group can be as small as two or three or as large as twenty or more! There are at least three parts to what you will find in groups: connections, community, and care.
Connecting with others is the first step to building relationships, whether it’s Sunday in the café, Wednesday night in the Atrium, or any day with a serving team. As you invest in relationships, you’ll discover people you want to know better, people who share the same stage of life, who have similar issues, who are on the same journey. In a group, you establish deeper relationships—people who will walk with you, who will help you grow in your relationship with God and others. In community you’ll find support and care for life’s obstacles and celebration for life’s victories; people who will help you stay on the road to healing! Something unique happens when we seek God together with common purpose. Don’t miss it! Get in a Group!
