Prayer Room Story from Pastor Gary
One of my favorite parts of the prayer room experience is the high value I place in seeing what others are writing, reading, praying over, and leaving to inspire others. On multiple occasions I've gone to the Prayer Room and been challenged, encouraged, or both by those who have gone before me. I use the Prayer Room privately, I meet there with prayer groups, and I participate in the prayer experiences offered through the church.

On one occasion I was waiting to take my turn in a 24/7 prayer experience when my attention was drawn to a note someone wrote about the nation of China. I read the note wondering who wrote it. At that moment I felt the power and presence of God. It was loving, passionate, and it felt like a broken heart all at the same time. There aren't words to describe the feeling adequately. I asked God what was happening to me. The next thought into my mind was, you are feeling what I feel for the people of China. Just a few weeks earlier I was asked to take over the leadership of Project Partner. The focus of Project Partner is China. I knew then that God wanted me to give leadership to the next chapter there.

I'm grateful for a sacred place to connect with God and others in prayer. I'm even more excited about the God who wants to meet with His children anytime anywhere.
